We’re donating beds to help children get the sleep they deserve. Our goal is to make home a place where children 
can grow, learn, play, and get a good night’s sleep. We’re hosting 100 children for a fun-filled 
night and a surprise bed giveaway.

We partnered up with the Orlando City Soccer Club for our Delivering Hope event and surprised 100 deserving children.

Miami Dolphins

We teamed up with the Miami Dolphins to surprise 160 South Florida children with the gift of a comfortable sleep for years to come.

For most of us, a comfortable bed awaits us after a long day. It’s a place to refresh, relax, and recharge for whatever the next day has to offer. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for many children. Some kids don’t even have a proper bed to sleep in – let alone a comfortable mattress – which can have negative implications. It’s no secret that a lack of sleep can lead to poor academic performance, which can further jeopardize a child’s future. CITY Furniture aims to change that with Delivering Hope – one of our corporate giving programs.

 

At CITY, we believe that it’s our ethical responsibility to give back to our communities – especially children. With Delivering Hope, 100 kids will receive a brand-new mattress, bed frame, pillow, sheet set, and comforter during an incredible night of fun. In the past, we’ve partnered up with both the Orlando City soccer club and the Miami Dolphins – furthering connections within our community. 

 

These experiences have included meet-and-greets, a PJ party, movie nights, and other fun activities – plus other surprise reveals. Not only does this give kids a night of fun, but a chance to be inspired by their role models all while receiving the gift of proper sleep. With proper sleep, a child may be able to achieve his dreams – literally!
 
Why do we do this? It all goes back to the CITY Furniture mission and purpose: to enrich people’s lives and make the world a better place. Additionally, one of the several CITY Furniture values is giving back. That’s just a part of our corporate philanthropy. With our 5% Giving Pledge, we’re committed to giving back at least 5% of our annual profits through corporate and charitable donations. We structure our donations around five main giving pillars: home, health, service, diversity and education. With Delivering Hope and more, all those giving pillars can be met for a better, healthier, and happier world.
